Chocolate Banana Honey Crescent Rolls

I am a sucker for a deal. Actually sometimes it is those deals that allow me to eat well on my iddy biddy budget. Lets take a look at crescent rolls for example. They are super easy to work with and quite versatile. So when I saw them for $1.00 a roll (regular $1.99) I snatched them up! Which leads me to my crescent roll chapter of this blog. In the next few days you will see a collection of recipes that I have created that are all based on crescent rolls!

First up - the Chocolate Banana Honey Crescent Roll. This is my all time favourite use of crescent rolls. It was one of the first desserts I started making and immediately it was a hit with friends. It is a really good beginner recipe.

I must apologize for the bad quality of these pictures, they really don't do justice to the dessert. You will also notice that I created 4 bundles instead of making 8 rolls that comes in the package. When I made them this time, there were 4 of us so I was lazy and made them bigger. But you can most definitely make them smaller - but then you are going to want to eat 2 lol.

Chocolate Banana Honey Crescent Rolls
Time: 10-12 mins    CPS: $0.73       L of D: Undergraduate

- 1 Package of Crescent Rolls
- 1 Chocolate Bar (whatever kind you like - I have used almond bars and they were great!)
- 1 Banana
- Honey for drizzling
- Handful of Walnuts (optional)
- Whip cream or Ice cream

Preheat oven according to crescent roll package. Take apart the crescent rolls and lay them out on a baking sheet. In each triangle/square place a chunk of chocolate and a couple slices of banana. You can add some nuts into the roll here, OR you can sprinkle some on top afterwards. Roll up the crescent rolls and make sure are sealed tight so nothing spills out. Put in oven and bake according to package or until golden brown.

Once they are done, drizzle with honey and serve with whip cream or ice cream. Trust me, you do not want to skip this step!
